Collars

Measuring Neck Size

Loosely measure the neck where the collar would normally sit, then slide two fingers between the dog's neck and measuring tape to get the final measurement.  Adding the two fingers should make the collar size about 2" larger than the dog's neck size; consider just an additional 1” for very small dogs.

If you’d like the collar to hang looser when not constricted, or limit the ability of the collar to constrict around the neck like a martingale collar, simply add a few inches to the size you are ordering. If you’d like to use the collar like to a slip collar or “choke chain,” select a fit that is close to your dogs neck, which will allow you to have additional control without the unlimited constriction of a choke chain.

How To Care For Our Products

Life is never spic n’ span. We’re muddy too. Our stuff takes a beating!

The River Line collar is sturdy, with a bit of give - the give required of nautical line to do tough work with wear and water! No care is required, but you may be happier cleaning the collar every once in a while.

When you’re ready to clean your dogs collar, just take an (old, not your sister’s) toothbrush and a little dishsoap, and lightly brush and then rinse the collar clean.

For bracelets, some of the materials are a little less rough and tumble. Give us a shout for tips on cleaning catered to your particular bracelet, or use the technique above - just be gentle..
